Our Neath centre has a large matted training area, with classes taught in a structured and supervised environment. Techniques and activities are introduced progressively and appropriately for each age group and ability level.
Our instructors and leaders are trained in first aid, and we have established safeguarding and child protection procedures in place.
Parents or guardians are required to stay and watch their child’s classes from our dedicated viewing area.
We aim to make our programmes as inclusive as possible, and the structured nature of martial arts can work particularly well for many children with additional learning needs.
Every child is different, which is one of the reasons children aged 4–12 begin with a personalised 1-to-1 trial lesson. This gives us the opportunity to understand your child’s individual needs, confidence, communication and physical abilities before recommending the most suitable programme.
Where it is safe and practical to do so, we will make reasonable adjustments to help your child participate and progress.
We ask parents or guardians to let us know about any additional needs, medical conditions or physical limitations before the trial so we can discuss how best to support their child.
